In what ways does the promise of English as a tool for upward mobility create a barrier that perpetuates the lack of opportunity? How do we create a home-language-based education that leads to a literate culture who will not be forced to use English as their sole means of negotiation in a literate world? Clarification question Are there formal education opportunities that are taught exclusively in the home-language?
